Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), one of Pakistan’s most important federal autonomous bodies responsible for managing and operating all civilian airports across the country, has announced Situation Vacant Notice No. 03/2026 for 77 regular positions across three Assistant Director categories under the Defined Contribution Scheme. Appointments will be made strictly on the basis of merit and suitability, and candidates must hold domicile of the relevant province or region to apply under the corresponding quota.
Pakistan Airports Authority jobs 2026 are a rare and prestigious opportunity for graduates in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, aviation management, finance, accounting, business administration, and hospitality to join a federal government authority that operates at the heart of Pakistan’s aviation infrastructure. All three positions are at EG-01 pay scale with a salary range of Rs. 56,280 to Rs. 168,880 with annual increments of Rs. 5,630 — a competitive compensation structure for entry-level management positions in the public sector.
Applications must be submitted online within 15 days of this advertisement. Candidates must upload their CV with photograph, PDF copies of required certificates and degrees, and CNIC along with the application. A non-refundable test fee of Rs. 500 must be deposited into Allied Bank of Pakistan Account No. 0010011740150017 (Account Title: Pakistan Airports Authority) IBAN No. PK03ABPA0010011740150017 at the time of submitting the online application. Candidates applying for multiple positions must submit a separate fee for each post.
Available Positions and Eligibility
1. Assistant Director Air Traffic Control (ATC) | EG-01 | 32 Posts | Age: Max 28 Years
Pay Scale: Rs. 56,280 – 5,630 – 168,880
Quota Distribution: Merit = 03 | AJK = 01 | Balochistan = 02 | Ex-FATA = 01 | Punjab = 16 | Sindh Urban = 03 | Sindh Rural = 03 | KPK = 03
Prescribed Qualification: The position accepts three educational routes:
Route A — BS in Physics or Mathematics from an HEC-recognised university.
Route B — BS in Computer Science or Aviation Management with FSc or A-Levels (Pre-Engineering background).
Route C — Bachelor’s in Engineering from an HEC-recognised university.
All routes require a minimum 70 percent aggregate CGPA from an HEC-recognised university with FSc or A-Levels (Pre-Engineering background) and minimum 70 percent marks or equivalent.
With 32 seats and the largest provincial quota distribution in this advertisement — 16 seats for Punjab alone — the ATC position is the biggest hiring category. Air Traffic Controllers are among the most technically demanding and safety-critical roles in aviation, responsible for guiding aircraft safely through Pakistan’s airspace, managing takeoffs, landings, and in-flight transitions at airports and area control centres across the country.
The pre-engineering background requirement through FSc or A-Levels is consistent across all routes, ensuring that candidates have a quantitative and scientific foundation regardless of their degree discipline. The 70 percent academic threshold is strict — candidates with lower CGPAs or percentages should carefully check their eligibility before applying.
Importantly, selected candidates for this post must execute a surety bond of Rs. 2,500,000 (Rupees Two and a Half Million Only) to serve in PAA for a minimum period of 10 years. This is a significant commitment condition that candidates must carefully consider and plan for before applying.
2. Assistant Director Accounts | EG-01 | 10 Posts | Age: Max 28 Years
Pay Scale: Rs. 56,280 – 5,630 – 168,880
Quota Distribution: Merit = 01 | Balochistan = 01 | Punjab = 05 | Sindh Urban = 01 | Sindh Rural = 01 | KPK = 01
Prescribed Qualification: CMA passed, CA Finalist with articles completed, or ACCA member or MBA Finance — all with minimum 16 years of education, minimum 70 percent aggregate CGPA from an HEC-recognised university, and minimum 60 percent marks or equivalent at Intermediate level. Sufficient knowledge of computer operations especially MS Excel is required.
Ten seats for finance and accounting professionals. The qualification options — CMA, CA Finalist, ACCA, or MBA Finance — reflect the breadth of accounting credentials PAA is willing to consider, but the 70 percent CGPA threshold remains firm. The MS Excel proficiency requirement is practical and directly relevant to financial reporting and analysis work within a large federal authority.
Punjab holds 5 of the 10 seats, with single seats for Merit, Balochistan, Sindh Urban, Sindh Rural, and KPK. This makes it a more competitive category for candidates from smaller quota regions.
3. Assistant Director Airport Services (APS) | EG-01 | 35 Posts | Age: Max 28 Years
Pay Scale: Rs. 56,280 – 5,630 – 168,880
Quota Distribution: Merit = 03 | AJK = 01 | Balochistan = 02 | Ex-FATA = 01 | Punjab = 17 | Sindh Urban = 03 | Sindh Rural = 04 | KPK = 04
Prescribed Qualification: Master’s or Graduation degree (16 years of education) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Hospitality or Hotel Management, or Aviation Management — with not less than 60 percent marks or at least 2.6/4 CGPA from a reputable HEC-recognised university.
With 35 seats, APS is the largest single category in the advertisement. The 60 percent marks or 2.6/4 CGPA threshold is more accessible than the 70 percent required for ATC and Accounts, and the broader range of acceptable disciplines — including Hospitality Management and Public Administration alongside BBA and MBA — makes this the most inclusive of the three positions.
Airport Services Directors are responsible for managing passenger operations, terminal services, ground handling coordination, passenger facilitation, and overall airport service delivery at PAA’s airports across Pakistan. It is a people-facing, operationally intensive management role that sits at the intersection of aviation, hospitality, and public administration.
Punjab again holds the largest provincial share with 17 seats, followed by KPK and Sindh Rural with 4 each.
Pakistan Airports Authority Jobs 2026 – Key Conditions
Regular positions under Defined Contribution Scheme. All three posts are regular appointments — not contract — under PAA’s Defined Contribution pension scheme, subject to approval by the Competent Authority.
Strictly merit and suitability based. PAA has explicitly stated that appointments will be made on merit and suitability. Domicile-based quota determines eligibility category, but selection within each quota is purely competitive.
ATC surety bond of Rs. 2.5 million for 10 years. The selected candidates for Assistant Director ATC must execute a surety bond of Rs. 2,500,000 to serve PAA for a minimum of 10 years. This is a firm contractual commitment designed to protect PAA’s training investment in ATC officers.
Selected candidates serve anywhere in Pakistan. PAA operates airports across the country and selected candidates will be posted wherever PAA requires them — not necessarily at their home city airport.
Separate fee per post. Candidates applying for multiple positions must pay a separate Rs. 500 fee for each post. Applications submitted without the required fee will not be considered.
Documents must be uploaded with application. CV with photograph, PDF copies of degree certificates, and CNIC must be uploaded at the time of online application. Missing documents will result in rejection of the application.

Final Thoughts
Pakistan Airports Authority jobs 2026 are one of the most professionally prestigious federal government employment opportunities announced this year. Three Assistant Director categories covering air traffic control, finance, and airport services — 77 total seats, competitive EG-01 pay scale, regular appointment under PAA’s defined contribution scheme, and nationwide quota distribution — make this a high-value recruitment round for graduates across Pakistan.
The ATC position in particular is a career-defining opportunity for physics, mathematics, engineering, and computer science graduates who want to enter the specialised and globally respected field of air traffic management. The 10-year surety bond is a serious commitment but reflects the level of training investment PAA makes in its ATC officers — and the career trajectory and compensation that come with it justify that commitment for the right candidate.
The deadline is 15 days from the date of this advertisement. Read the TOR at www.paa.gov.pk, deposit your Rs. 500 fee at ABL, upload your documents, and submit your application before the portal closes.
