Title: CCTV Operator

Job Description: We are currently seeking a vigilant and responsible CCTV Operator to join our team. As a CCTV Operator, you will be primarily responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment in our control room. Your role involves monitoring both live and recorded video footage, promptly reporting incidents to senior staff, and ensuring the security and safety of our premises. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement.

Role Overview: As a CCTV Operator, your key responsibilities include:

1. Operating and maintaining surveillance equipment in the control room.
2. Monitoring live and recorded video surveillance footage.
3. Reporting incidents verbally to senior staff and documenting them in the Incident Log Register.
4. Creating hard copies of footage when necessary due to the seriousness of the violation.
5. Monitoring for incidents, suspicious behavior, policy violations, and staff discipline issues, and contacting authorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Your main duties will include:

• Monitoring and detecting incidents, gathering information, and preserving evidence.
• Performing maintenance on control room equipment as required.
• Creating DVDs and saving video data to USB/CD from DVR/NVR systems.
• Maintaining detailed records, including Incident logs, Visitors Log Book, Repair and Maintenance Log Book, and other designated records.
• Recording health and safety incidents and reporting them to supervisors.
• Adhering to company policies such as Health and Safety, Equalities, and Fire Evacuation Procedures.
• Managing associated systems like emergency alarm systems, fire alarms, and access controls.
• Assisting in internal and external audits related to physical security.
• Ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act and controlling access to the control room.
• Maintaining a neat and tidy work area.
• Immediately notifying senior management of any unusual occurrences, security breaches, or emergency situations.

Experience & Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience as a CCTV operator.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working within the Security department.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and integrity.
• Strong observation skills and ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
• Proficiency in email writing and MS Word.

Education & Qualifications:

• Diploma in computer operating systems will be a plus.
• CCTV technician certificate will be a plus.
