Description:

The Manager Security Operations Center is responsible for overseeing Jazz's cyber defense initiatives on a day-to-day basis. The primary focus will be leading a team of cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and incident responders to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time. Collaboration with other departments to develop and implement strategies to protect the organization's digital assets from cyber threats is crucial.

The role reports directly to the Stream Head Cyber Security and manages an extended team of 11 members.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Jazz SOC, including incident handling and escalation procedures.
• Implement and manage security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance cyber defense capabilities.
• Monitor and analyze security metrics and reports to identify trends and weaknesses.
• Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities through threat intelligence sources.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in audits and assessments to validate cybersecurity controls and processes.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams on security compliance requirements.
• Interface with senior management during incidents and provide status updates.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• BS/MS in information security/Cyber security/Information Technology.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or Team Lead role.
• Practical experience in security operations in large enterprises, preferably in the banking or Telco sector.
• 4-5 years of experience in planning and operations of security solutions.

• Organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
• Stakeholder management abilities.
• Logical and analytical skills for Cyber Security risk analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of security operations concepts.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.
• Knowledge of SOC tools and conducting malware analysis.
• Understanding of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities.
